Known for being one of the larger Amazons, these wonderful parrots really should be known for their talking ability. One of the most talented talkers in the Amazon family, rivaled only by Blue Fronts or Double Yellow Headed Amazons. With a great enjoyment for dancing and singing, and a fondness for doing tricks the Yellow Naped Amazon is a treasure of the parrot world. It should never be forgotten that these wonderful parrots do have the power to make trouble, and can deliver a nasty bite if provoked. Many people describe their Yellow Naped companions with words like smart, feisty, talkative, entertaining, and independant. You can expect a Yellow Naped Amazon to grow to about 15 inches long, and weigh in anywhere between 480 - 680 grams.
