Our Mission:
Feathered Family dedicates each and every day to assuring that every parrot receives the level of care it deserves. Through education, information, support, and rescue or sanctuary we provide for the needs of the parrots of the world.
We strive to help people and parrots live in harmony. By providing assistance with behavior issues, and general information on parrot care we hope to someday see each and every parrot in a home that not only loves it, but cares for the parrot properly.
Through outreach we hope to educate children and adults alike to understand the level of devotion and commitment it takes to share ones home with a parrot. We promote proper veterinary care, diet, and caging through literature and recommendations.
We do not sell, trade, or breed any bird who comes into Feathered Family. We oppose the mass market selling of parrots through chain pet stores, bird marts, and internet shops. We support and encourage legislation protecting the rights, health and safety of parrots living in captivity and in the wild. We also oppose the sale of any unweaned baby parrot for any reason.
No parrot remains in Feathered Family as part of our lifetime flock without the express need to do so, and without very careful consideration on our part. Our number one goal will always be to provide the very best adoptive and permanent home for parrots possible.

All birds who come to any Feathered Family Facility need to be legally signed over into our custody, and though we will gladly inform you (upon request) of when your bird has been placed we will not inform you of where. Both the new owner and the parrot need privacy to begin their lifelong friendship, and we cannot interfere in this. We hope you understand.
