Green-Cheeked Conure

(Phyrrhura Molinae)

Lovely little conures, these darlings reach only about 10 inches in length.  Beautifully marked parrots, who's colors at first might seem drab to those who are not looking carefully, these wonderful companion parrots are a treasure to those who share their lives with them. The Green-Cheeked Conure looks very similar to the Maroon-Bellied Conure, which can make telling them apart difficult for the novice. Known to be one of the quiet conures, but of course able to make a good deal of noise if it feels this is required. In general, the Green-Cheeked Conures are reportedly less noisy than a Cockatiel, which makes them excellent companions for those who live in close quarters, such as an apartment.
