Cookie is a beautiful and loving nine year old Green Wing Macaw. She is a DNA hen, so will not be able to go to a home with a male macaw. Cookie is very sweet with parrot confident people, but does try to bluff if she thinks she can get away with it.

Cookie is a wonderful talker, but far more important is her loving personality. She was raised as a member of the family and she loves to be with people. In her prior home Cookie had a screaming issue, she does not like to be left out of anything. As you can see she also chews her feathers, though this is already getting better at Feathered Family.

Cookie is a rare macaw to find in a rescue. She came from a loving home, is a very loving bird, and just has needs her prior home could not meet due to no fault of their own. Cookie is busy learning while with us. She can scream for attention and she needed to learn to enjoy bathing. As you can see she has made a great deal of progress on bathing!

Cookie is a very social macaw who very much enjoys spending time with other birds. This does form a problem as to finding the perfect home for her as we will have to find a home where she can have this need met without any breeding or attempted breeding. She does try to overbond with people and birds, and is learning slowly that she can be friends with many other creatures at once.
