Little Corella or Bare-Eyed Cockatoo

Thought to be more behaviorally stable than most other Cockatoos this little darling is treasured among those who live with them. With a reputation of being more intelligent and better at speech than the larger Cockatoos, it is no wonder that they are so fast becoming popular as companion parrots. Smaller than some of the other Cockatoos, the Bare-eyed grows to about 15 inches in length.
While some humans are put off by the appearance of the bare eye ring of this bird, others find it irresistible. They are wonderful companions, but like all Cockatoos they require an enormous commitment to keep them behaviorally and emotionally stable.
